Crafting targeted titles and descriptions of your web pages and their content.
So many website creators often ignore this basic part of good SEO. It is important to make sure that a keyword-rich page title is applied to every page of your website, and each one should be unique to describe exactly what it is that this page is about.
It’s not that easy though… you have a limit of how many characters will be displayed in SERPS (Search Engine Results Pages) for the title and descriptions, and so creating the right message is more a work of art than a writing exercise!
Let us review and improve your Page Titles and Meta Descriptions
We’ll work with you to craft meaningful and actionable titles and descriptions and apply these to your pages. We also recommend creating a library of appropriate emoji characters as these can be used to make your items stand out and become more clickable.
While we’re editing these sections of your pages it is also quick and easy to make sure that some other best-practice SEO techniques are in place, like how your site looks when shared on social platforms or messaging services. It’s all powered from the same parts of the HTML that we will be working with.
What happens if I dont do this?
If you dont pay attention to your page titles, then you are missing the single most important and easy ranking factor that Google pays attention to.
We come across MANY pages that are simply called “Services” or “Homepage” and when google looks at this page, it can gain NOTHING USEFUL from this title that is supposed to be describing what the page is all about.
Instead, if that “Services” page was to say
“💻 Website Design Services in Brentwood 📞 Call 01277 849443″ doesnt it look more appealing and give a better explanation of what it is trying to promote.
Combining a featured image also helps
In addition to working on your title and description, it is essential to add a featured image to each page on your website to give it the best opportunity of being presented well in search results or on social platforms and tools.
If you DONT craft these elements and choose an appropriate image then Google and WordPress will select them for you, or omit them all together, and this clearly isnt helping your business to stand out with the right, tailored messages for your potential visitors.
