A 404 Error page is something that should be setup on all websites (but often isnt!) and its aim is to help users who have arrived at a page that no longer exists or has been moved.
There are many different ways that you can design an effective 404 page, but of all of the designs and variations that I have ever seen in my 25+ years of working with websites, the link below is by far my absolute favourite.
